Our team at the J. Cleo Thompson Wellness Center is excited to share that Crockett County has been selected as one of a few statewide partners to participate in the 2024 National Fitness Campaign. This partnership aims to improve the overall quality of life in Ozona's community by providing free outdoor fitness opportunities in a dynamic new way.
After being awarded grant funding from NFC, Crockett County formally adopted the initiative and budgeted partial funds to make it a reality. Along with much request and enthusiasm we would like to complete the outdoor project by making use of the rest of the unused outdoor space with pickleball and basketball courts for a fun and available area accessible to the wellness center members. Our goal is to launch the program within the 2024 Campaign year. To achieve this goal, we are reaching out to corporate leaders in our community to join the campaign and will be coming together for fundraisers and events to help our Wellness Center and this Campaign play a vital role in anchoring community wellness practices and positive initiatives for our community.
